Anthony “Tony” Tutrone is the Head of Private Markets, at Neuberger, a private employee-owned investment manager with over $560 billion of assets under management. Tony started Neuberger’s Private Markets business in 2002, and today the business manages over $165 billion of assets across primary, secondary, co-investment, infrastructure, and direct equity and credit strategies on behalf of institutional and high net worth clients. Tony is a member of Neuberger's Partnership, Asset Allocation, and all Neuberger Private Markets Investment Committees. Prior to Neuberger, from 1994 to 2002, Tony was a Managing Director at The Cypress Group, a private equity firm focused on middle market buyouts that managed $3.5 billion of commitments. Tony began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1986, and was one of the original members of the firm’s Merchant Banking Group which managed a $1.2 billion private equity fund focused on middle market buyouts. He currently sits on the Boards of Identity Digital, Inc. and Marquee Brands, LLC, as well as the advisory boards of several private equity funds. Tony received a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
