John J. Barker

John Barker joined the firm in 1994. John is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager on the Large Cap Disciplined Growth team. Previously, John was an equity research analyst following healthcare, technology and aerospace companies at Wall Street firms, including Martin Simpson & Co. where he worked in research and research sales roles. Prior to beginning his investment career John spent three years as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley and Co. and four years as an audit supervisor at Main Hurdman & Co., CPAs. John is a trustee at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where he Chairs the Rhodes College Endowment investment committee. John received his BBA in Financial Accounting from Iona College in 1980 and his Certified Public Accounting certification from New York State in 1984.
