Laura Sloate, CFA, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2005. Laura is a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Sloate Group, which oversees over $550 million in discretionary assets. Prior to joining the firm, Laura was chairman, treasurer, CIO and director of Research at Sloate, Weisman, Murray & Company, Inc., which she co-founded in 1974, and which Neuberger Berman purchased in 2005. Laura was also chairman and treasurer of SWM Securities, Inc. Laura earned a BA from Barnard College and an MA from Columbia Graduate Faculties. She has also been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
